The Cadastral Survey Project
The Cadastral Survey Project identifies the need to establish municipal and barangay boundaries dates back in the year 1913 but due to lack of manpower and financial resources, this program did not push through not until year 2012, wherein not a single municipality had it completed. With the partnership of DENR and the LGU, this program was acted upon to finally end boundary disputes between barangays and nearby municipalities.
In order for this project to flourish, the City Planning and Development Office headed by Mr. Eric Tubalinal organized a meeting of all barangay captains of the city to disseminate information and discuss all concerns to push through with the project. Mrs. Emelita E. Garcia, LMO III from the DENR facilitated the discussion with Engr. Edilberto V. Quejada, Geodetic Engineer who will undertake the program present in the said meeting.
The Cadastral Survey Project would run for 180 days effective March 25, 2014 and with the cooperation of respective barangay captains who attended the meeting, boundaries will soon be set with the progression of the project.
