Himig ng Pasko Para Sa Inyo

     Along with the celebration of Christmas season,the Local Government Unit organizes a Christmas Concert entitled “Himig ng Pasko Para Sa Inyo” Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir was invited to show their exceptional talent through their voices, that was held last December 19, 2015 at San Sebastian Parish Church.

     In 1999, the Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir was conceived by its founders, Ulan and Dinna Sarmiento, primarily as a parish choir at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Quezon City. In 2001, they turned trans-parochial when they became part of the music ministry of the Mary the Queen Parish in Greenhills and Christ the king parish in Greenmeadows in 2004. Today, the choir continues to serve these parishes, grounded on its core values of excellence, commitment, discipline, service and prayer. In recognition of their multi-awards, they receive the Ani ng Dangal from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in 2009, 2013 and 2014 (

     The Christmas Concert held at the Science City of Muñoz San Sebastian The Martyr Parish Church started with an invocation of The Lord’s Prayer by Ms. Thea Perez-Prosias, soprano artist; Mr. Ronan Ferrer, tenor artist; Mr. Greg Abelardo De Leon, baritone artist and Mr. Michael Bernardino, pianist, who are known as the UST Conservatory of Music Voice Faculty.

     A welcome address was given by the active city vice mayor Hon. Tekila Grace DV. Alvarez and an opening remarks from the dynamic city mayor Hon. Nestor L. Alvarez, Ph.D.

     Congressman Joseph Violago and Rev. Nestor Romano, MSC gave their messages, Ms. Mikki Violago wife of Congressman Joseph Violago was also present that night.

     The christmas concert begins with the performance of the San Sebastian High School Glee Club, San Sebastian Grand Chorale and DepEd Children’s Choir, followed by the CLSU Maestro Singers singing Jingle Bells and Paskong Kay Saya conducted by Dr. Randy Ibarra.

     One classical piece and one Christmas piece were performed by the UST Conservatory of Music String Quartet. After that Ms. Thea Perez (soprano artist) gave her beautiful song rendition of “I could have danced all night” Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir performed three kinds of song, first is the sacred songs which includes Sanctus, Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho and Will the Circle be Unbroken, second is the secular songs including Inday sa Balitaw and One Thing, third is Christmas songs which includes Kampana ng Simbahan, Tuloy na tuloy pa rin ang Pasko and We Wish you a Merry Christmas. They introduced their songs first before they performed it.

     Another performances coming from the UST Conservatory of Music Voice Faculty where Ms. Thea Perez (soprano artist) sang the La Vie En Rose Pakiusap ako’y Hindi Duwag by Mr. Ronan Ferrer (tenor artist) Kitang Dalawa and This is the Moment by Mr. Greg De Leon (Baritone artist) and Makikiliti Kang Totoo by Ms. Thea Perez and Mr. Ronan Ferrer, Kalesa was sung by three of them, for the finale, all Cast sang Payapang Daigdig and Simbang Gabi

     Closing remarks was given by Bishop Roberto C. Mallari, D.D. Sponsors from different places offered gifts for the cause of the city’s parish church.
