2019 Street Dancing and Drum and Lyre Competition
After the Grand Uhay parade schools from different barangays of Science City of Muñoz namely: MNHS Main Grade 7, MNHS Main Grade 9, Maragol Integrated School, MNHS Senior High School, MNHS Main Grade 8, MNHS Annex and San Anton Integrated School (SAIS) competed in the Street Dance Competition, a festive way of showcasing the bounteous yield of palay, milk and tilapia, the main product of Lungsod Agham ng Muñoz. The exhibition of Drum & Lyre took place in the same venue in which schools of Rang-Ayan Elem. School, San Felipe Elem. School, Palusapis Elem School, DEpEd CLSU, Palusapis Junior High School, Muñoz National High School - Main, Bantug Elem. School, Calisitan Elem. School, Maligaya Elem. School, Muñoz Central School, Curva Elem. School, Muñoz United Methodist Church Learning Center and Villa Cuizon Elem. School performed.
Mr. Emmanuel Magno, Chairman of Drum & Lyre was there all throughout the event. Coun. Rodney S. Cabrera. Coun. Vivencio C. Cajucom, Coun. Edmond J. Balmeo, DMD, Coun. Allan S. Pingol, Coun. Vincent DV Alvarez, Coun. Jerry Fulgencio, PNP Superintendent Gerald Licyayo, SK Chairman Ay-Mand Kaylle Miranda were there too and some of the MNHS Batch '67 headed by Ms. Armi L. Alvarez. The Board of Judges for the Street Dance competition were Mr. Antonio Macalalas Jr., the Dance Director of the "Mga Anak ni Inang Daigdig", Mr. Marciano T. Viri, the Artistic Director of the Centro Escolar University Folk Dance Troupe and Ms. Sandie M. Javier, Chairman of the Board of Judges, who was a Senior Culture and Arts Officer of the Cultural Center of The Philippines. The winner for the best float was also announced on the program. DepEd won 1st place, BFAR won 2nd place and PhilMech got the 3rd place for the Float Parade. The street dance competition winners were MNHS - Main who got the 1st place with a corresponding prize of P 35,000.00, MNHS - Main SHS won the 2nd place with P 25,000.00, Maragol Integrated School attained the 3rd place with a prize of P 15,000.00. P 5,000.00 were given as consolation prize for those groups who unfortunately didn't win but still did their best performance for the contest.
