Christmas Concert 2016

Last December 13, 2016 A Christmas Concert entitled "Himig ng Pasko para sa inyo" featuring the UST Singers, CLSU Maestro Singers, Mr. June Christian Lamson and the Deped Choir was held at around 3:00 pm at the San Sebastian Parish Church, Science City of Munoz.

A Doxology was given by the CLSU Maestro Singers under the baton of Dr. Randy Ibarra followed by the welcome remarks of Rev. Fr. Nestor E. Romano, parish priest, and an inspirational message from our city mayor Hon. Nestor L. Alvarez, Ph.D.

The CLSU Maestro Singers sang the "sound of life", "Have Your Self a Merry Little Christmas" and "Paskong Kay Saya".

The Maestro Singers of Central Luzon State University under the baton of Dr. Randy Ibarra had won numerous awards in local and national level. The UST Singers under the baton of prof. Fidel G. Calalang, Jr. who sang the "cantata domino" "ceciliado", "into the fire", "gloria patri", "seasons of love" and "this is the moment" has been awarded as the Best Choral Group in the recent 2016 Aliw Awards.

This is The UST Singers's third citation to date from the Aliw Awards Foundation, the only award-giving body in the Philippines recognizing achievements in the live entertainment industry.

Last March, the UST Singers was also among the recipients of the 2016 Ani ng Dangal Award for International Achievement in Music and the Arts. It is the third time for the choir to receive this honor given by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Cultural Center of the Philippines. (

Ms. Maria Carmila "Camille" Molina, a member of the UST Singers and a soprano artist, gave her beautiful rendition of "with a song in my heart" and "Filipino song"

Also a member of the UST Singers and a tenor artist, Mr. Abdul Candao sang "dein ist mein ganzes herz" and "bituing marikit" Ms. Maria Carmila "Camille" Molina and Mr. Abdul Candao did a duet of the song "balcony scene from the west side story" and "maalaala mo kaya". Mr. June Christian Lamson, ginoong nueva ecija turismo 2016, played the saxophone for the songs "all of me" and "oh Holy night".

The Deped Choir sang "Paskong pasko na talaga". Again, the UST Singers under the baton of prof. Fidel G. Calalang, Jr. gave a performance of the songs "kumukutikutitap", "grown up Christmas list", "munting sanggol", "mano po", "kampana ng simbahan", "pasko nanaman", "heto nanaman" and "a Christmas carol".

For the finale all-cast joined together to sang "adeste fideles" for a remarkable performance.
