The 41st year anniversary of the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization based in Central Luzon State University was celebrated last May 22, 2019. The agency was created on May 24, 1978 through Presidential Decree 1380 by then President Ferdinand E. Marcos and was named NAPHIRE, the first agency to specialize in postharvest.
