SDG FACES City Workshop

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Local Government Academy and the Science City of Muñoz in cooperation with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Department of Education (DEPED) launched the Family-based Actions for Children in their Environs in the Slums (FACES) a Sustainable Development Goals Localization project. The project focused on urban barangays with slum area to uplift the lives of people and achieve the 17 goals of SDG from year 2015-2030. For the city, Barangay Poblacion East was selected among the four urban barangays. Forty families with 20 boys and 20 girls aged 6-12 years old will be given projects from the LGU and National Government Agency. One non-government organization the International Order of Demolay Kalikasan Chapter is also a stake holder in the program.

The families took their pledge of commitment headed by Mrs. Myrna B. Estrada, CSWD Head. Bags, uniform and shoes was distributed after the program.
