Series of Activities for Potential 4P's Beneficiaries
The 4Ps or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program continually widen its support areas as it further identifies probable beneficiaries from other barangays in the Science City of Muñoz and at the same time increasing the number of constituents who can avail such program. With the ultimate goal of the program to provide assistance to the challenged sector of the society through social assistance by giving cash aid and social development through organizing sustainable Livelihood Programs.
With the identification of 7 new barangays to be part of the program which includes Mapangpang, San Felipe, Bagong Sikat, Naglabrahan, San Antonio, Matingkis and Calabalabaan to serve as additional potential beneficiaries, series of activities where conducted to process applications and validation of all requirements of prospected members at the Pag-asa Gymnasium facilitated by DSWD Regional Office staff from San Fernando Pampanga and City Links.
IDs of Newly Registered members from SET 7A with a total of 919 households from the seven barangays were distributed last April 22 and 23, 2014. A Sustainable Livelihood Program for 90 households was conducted to promote self-reliance of members and attainment of their long term goal of developing socially capable citizens from the poor sector held last April 24, 2014. Succeeding activities included validation of requirements for additional new applicants from all barangays with existing 4Ps supervised by abled staffs from the DSWD Regional Office.
After approval of application of the newly registered Set 7A , Set 4D and Set 5A with a total of 1, 152 household grantees , the first over the counter payment is scheduled on April 29, 2014 at the Pag-asa Gymnasium followed by a City Advisory Committee meeting to be held at the City Mayor’s Conference Hall the next day.
