SPES Orientation 2014
Included to one’s civil right is the right to have proper education but different circumstances may hinder the attainment of this right, but as the saying goes, “Kapag gusto, mayparaan.” The Special Program for Employment of Students is one of the many ways that an individual who has the eagerness at heart and mind but is financially challenged can resort to.
SPES is created to assist poor but deserving students pursue their education through participating in jobs offered during summer and or Christmas vacation under the DOLE with the PESO of the local government as its front liner. All qualified participants were oriented last April 2, 2014 by Mrs. Honorata Mangrubang, SPES Coordinator at the Mayor’s Conference Hall. The program includes 100 beneficiaries to be employed within 22-25 days among participating agencies and companies which includes the Local Government Unit, Jollibee, Water District, PhilRice and Muñoz National High School.
This activity focuses on the importance of education in every individual given equal chances and the initiative to pave your own way to enjoy more opportunities and improved way of living.
