Skills Training with Livelihood Assistance. An approved Bottoms Up Budgeting sustainable livelihood funded project of 2015 under the Department of Social Welfare and Development with the Local Government Unit of Science City of Muñoz started on February 2, 2016 and will end on February 20, 2016. In the 2 Million budget for this training, the DSWD gave Php1.6 million and a counterpart of Php 400,000.00 was given by the local government unit of the city. A total of 165 4P’s and non 4P’s recipients from the different barangays of the city attended the training. The different trainings given are dress making, hairdressing, massage therapy, meat processing, manicure and pedicure with foot spa and Nego (negosyo) cart. The trainers come from the Multi Skills Training Institute of the Philippines.
The trainees will be given a free kit with complete accessories for free after the training. This will enable them to be self dependent and to have an opportunity to earn. They will also take a TESDA test on February 27, 2016 for accreditation.
