Annual Tree Planting 2016

In response to the Annual National Greening Program to replant 12 hectares of land, our city mayor Hon. Nestor L. Alvarez Ph.D. city vice mayor, Hon. Tekila Grace DV. Alvarez, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), employees, department head and government officials of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Science City of Munoz participated in the tree planting activity that was held last June 24, 2016 at the Barangay Villa Isla, Science City of Munoz.

     The National Greening program (NGP) is an Executive Order no. 26 that should be accomplished under the term of President Benigno C. Aquino III where all the Government Officials and Students are required to plant 1.5 billion trees in 1.5 million hectares of land in the country.

     There are already 12,000 bamboo clamps planted in 54 hectares of land along the Baliwag River from Gabaldon to Linglingay and 10,000 forest trees are planted in 22 hectares in Barangay Villa Isla.

     The City ENRO also distributed 200 seedlings to be planted in each barangay.
